Independent councillors Andy Stamp and Pat Cooper decided to dissolve the independent group today and be swallowed up by the Labour machine. While this makes Medway politics a little less interesting, one can understand the level of electoral desperation that leads to such an event. That said, I guess it has been possible to see this coming for a while, particularly when you consider the such polite exchanges that have occurred between the two parties in recent years.
Labours dirty tricks against the Lib Dems and me will not fool the residents of Gillingham and Rainham . Shame on you @paulclark—
